The Mercedes Benz MB W204 is the mid-range model C-Class produced between March 2007 and June 2015. It replaced the W203, which was built in 2000.
The first C-Class, the W202, was the entry into the model range of Mercedes Benz when it appeared as the smallest series. From 1997 on, the A-Class was even smaller, but the C Class remained the "smallest" Mercedes Benz with rear-wheel drive. With the third generation W204 , the series has grown slightly larger overall.
The C-Class of the W204 series made some technical changes. Like a new Linguatronic system that understands whole sentences. For the first time, the optional operating and display system COMAND APS NTG 4 had a large screen when the operating system was switched on electrically carried out from the upper part of the center console. For the first time in the middle class, there was an optional Intelligent Light System
Optionally, there was a PRE-SAFE system that can detect an imminent collision in advance and enable pre-impact activation of the belt tensioners or to bring the heads up to an optimal position for the impact of the accident to mitigate.
- In March 2014, the production of the T model was discontinued.
Combined vehicles are called "T-models" at Mercedes Benz, for tourism and transport. The internal designation of the T models always starts with the S before the serial number (eg S204 ). This derives from the internal name " station wagon ".
- The last model of this series the Coupe was built until June 2015.
- Since the beginning of February 2014, the successor W205 has been manufactured.
