The Mercedes Benz MB W124 is a upper mid-range model of Mercedes Benz that was built from late fall of 1984 to mid-1997. With the second facelift in mid-1993, the model name E-Class was introduced for the W124. He replaced the predecessor W123.

For the W124 elements of the Mercedes Benz 190 (W201) were taken over, but he remained independent in technology and design. Despite the lightweight construction, vehicle safety was improved. The passenger compartment was characterized by high side impact and rollover resistance and was equipped with sophisticated deformation zones in the bow and in the rear.
